Layering is essential. Besides I use good gloves and a cap. My co-blogger Sonja wrote about what she wears in Finland (<a href="http://cyclingisgoodforyou.blogspot.com/2009/10/re-bike-fashion.html" rel="nofollow">bike fashion in fall</a>) where it is a bit colder.

Well, by now I already arrived in winter anyhow :).

I bought a Serfas headband just to make up a minimum order. I wish I had bought it years ago.
Made for cycling; works with a bike helmet, windproof and wonderful!

Fenders come first. There's more rain in the fall. Not only does the water from your tires fly up at you, but the rear tire dumps water right onto the back of your feet.
That was me two weeks ago.

You should be a little cold when you start out. You will warm up quickly.
I have had the problem of not enough layers, but this is rare. Usually I have to take off an outer layer when I get warmed up. Daniel
